Treatments for Chronic Pain & Illness
Woking & Guildford
Welcome to Woking Massage Therapy
I am highly qualified in Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage. My practice is based in Brookwood village, Woking. I regularly see clients with chronic conditions such as low back & neck and shoulder pain, as well as more debilitating complaints such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Migraine and Parkinson’s Disease. I offer the following treatments for chronic pain & illness:
-
Myofascial Release (MFR)
A treatment using no oil, this is a non-invasive technique which focuses on loosening restricted connective tissue (fascia). Fascia is a global network of tissue that surrounds every muscle fibre, every organ. Techniques are performed slowly to allow time for the tissue to respond without force.
-
CranioSacral Therapy
CranioSacral Therapy is a hands-on therapy which is done over clothes. Using very light pressure, the techniques will encourage the release of tension within stressed tissues, enabling dysfunction in the body to self-correct. It can help calm and balance the nervous system which commonly makes the treatment feel very relaxing.
-
Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger points are ‘knots’ that hurt and can cause pain. This massage targets those areas using sustained pressure (within your tolerance) until the discomfort reduces and the tightness dissipates.

Your First Appointment:
At your initial treatment you can expect a postural assessment and/or range of motion testing to determine areas of concern or restriction that could be affecting training or performance.
Follow up treatments will involve a mini consultation and re-assessment (if necessary) to determine if any changes in my treatment plan for you are required, so I can adapt the techniques and areas worked to ensure the most effective treatment.
